Studio Mitchell is an independent 3D animation studio based in the UK, specialising in high-end CGI, product visualisation, and commercial animated film.

Recent work includes a broadcast television campaign aired on ITV4 during British Touring Car Championship coverage, alongside projects spanning medical science, automotive, marine, and product visualisation.

Led by Creative Director Mark Mitchell, the studio brings over three decades of experience across moving image, visual effects, and cinematic visual communication, combining narrative thinking with practical production knowledge developed through years of commercial client work.

Mark’s formative experience was gained working in the Art Department on 1980s pop video productions, where a strong emphasis on pacing, visual rhythm, atmosphere, and storytelling through moving image continues to influence the studio’s approach today.

Projects are shaped by clarity and intent, with technology used to serve the idea rather than drive it — whether the objective is explanation, persuasion, realism, or visual impact.

Alongside client work, Studio Mitchell maintains ongoing research and development across key areas of practice including marine and underwater environments, fluid behaviour, photorealistic product visualisation, automotive rendering, medical environments, and organic animation.

That ongoing development work helps keep the studio’s visual approach grounded in observed behaviour, physical realism, and production practicality rather than visual shorthand or approximation.

The studio’s work has been recognised by industry bodies including the Association of Illustrators and has also been selected by Maxon for inclusion in official Cinema 4D showcase reels highlighting outstanding artist work.
