3D vehicle visualisation, compositing and AI colourisation
A detailed 3D recreation of the Fiat Cinquecento, developed both as a standalone vehicle render and as part of a period-inspired street composition.
The project demonstrates three different uses of the same visual asset: a clean CGI product render, a carefully composed monochrome street scene integrating the 3D vehicles, and an AI-assisted colour transformation that reimagines the original black-and-white image as an illuminated evening setting.
CGI Product Visualisation
The Cinquecento was first created as a standalone 3D vehicle render, allowing precise control over form, viewpoint, materials and finish while preserving the character and proportions of the original design.
CGI and Photographic Compositing
The black-and-white street image combines the 3D Fiat renders with a photographic architectural setting. Camera angle, scale, perspective and tonal values were carefully matched so the cars could be integrated naturally into the original monochrome scene.

AI-Assisted Colourisation and Scene Development

The monochrome composite was then used as the basis for an AI-assisted reinterpretation, transforming a black-and-white daytime image into a colour evening scene. Original Fiat body colours were reintroduced, the hotel and shopfront interiors were illuminated, and the overall atmosphere was developed into a warmer, more cinematic treatment while preserving the underlying composition.
This approach shows how 3D, compositing and AI can work together to extend the life of an image — from clean vehicle visualisation, to period scene creation, to full colour and mood transformation.
